Violin group classes

Learning to play the violin in a small group setting can be a fun and exciting way for children aged 6-8 and 8-10 to explore the world of music. At Music Tree, our course is designed to help children with no prior experience in the violin to develop their skills in a supportive and enjoyable environment.

One of the great benefits of playing in a group is the opportunity to make music with others. Playing in an ensemble can be a playful and fun way for children to learn new skills while building confidence and making friends. By playing together, children can learn to listen to each other and to work together towards a common goal. They can also enjoy the sense of accomplishment that comes from playing music together as a team.

In addition to the social benefits of playing in an ensemble, group learning can also help to develop important musical skills. Children can learn to read music, improve their timing and rhythm, and develop intonation by tuning their instruments to each other and matching the sound of the group. These skills are essential for becoming a well-rounded musician and can be honed through group practice and performance.

At Music Tree, we believe that learning music should be fun, engaging, and inspiring. Our experienced teacher Barbara Bartz, is passionate about helping children discover the joy of playing the violin in a supportive and nurturing environment.

Barbara will tailor the classes to the level of the students and create engaging games and fun musical activities to help them become comfortable with the instrument. The lessons will start with basic coordination and movements to support the violin and bow, and progress to exercises for the awaraness of the body, ending playing tunes and songs together.

This approach helps students develop their skills in a playful and enjoyable way, building a strong foundation for their musical journey. By learning in a small group setting, children can receive personalised attention while also benefiting from the energy and enthusiasm of their peers. At Music Tree, we are committed to providing the highest quality music education to children of all ages and skill levels.
