Children 6+

As your child enters primary school, their interest in music and musical instruments may have already begun to take shape. At Music Tree, we recognize that this is a pivotal juncture for your child in the cultivation of their musical abilities and coordination, both of which are crucial for mastering an instrument.

During this stage, children’s development varies from one individual to another. Therefore, it becomes essential to follow a proper learning sequence, ensuring that their motivation and enthusiasm are nurtured and built upon. Music Tree’s approach is designed to keep students engaged in their musical journey by incorporating innovative and creative teaching styles, such as improvisation, songwriting, and composition.

Our one-to-one classes can either take place at your home, online or at our venue in London.

We suggest a minimum of 45 minutes per class as we believe this time is needed to go deeper into the discovery and connection with an instrument, and gives us the time to get to know your child and their needs.

Research in education informs us about the correct learning sequence to help the study of an instrument and our primary mission is to ensure every child has a positive musical experience, focusing in particular on motivation and passion as much as musical theory and technique.

Here are our courses:

  • Piano
  • Guitar
