THE WORKSHOPS

CIRCLE MUSIC AND HUMAN CONNECTION

21st September

6 hours

Circle Music offers an experience mainly based on two simultaneous processes of development: musical and social. To reach this blend, the work makes use of many different practices (body percussion, circle song, music games, circle dance, cooperative games, pedagogy of cooperation, nonviolent communication and culture of peace), which come together to deepen the effects of collective music-making. The techniques, resources and values in this work are always serving the intention of building a light, playful and comfortable atmosphere, not only where people can make mistakes and experiment themselves but also where they can bring their own voice, listen to each other and connect with the spirit of being in a musical community. We connect to make music. We make music to connect.

MUSICA DO CIRCULO: STRATEGIES FOR MUSICAL AND SOCIAL DEVELOPMENT

22nd September 2019

4 hours

In the last years, Música do Círculo has been developing a methodology which is mainly focused on creating musical connections, literally and metaphorically. What does that mean? It means that it’s a way of making music which not only helps people developing their musicality skills but also strengthens the feeling of collective connection between people in a group. It can be applied in all kinds of groups, with both children and adults. And it can also be used both to teach music or to integrate groups, teams and communities. This will be a session to share the games, dynamics and concepts behind this way of making music and being together. It will help understand “Música do Círculo” approach, going deeper in strategies and methods”..

Pedro Consorte will present for the first time a new workshop where he will share games and strategies for musical and social development, based on the “Música do Círculo” approach.
Don’t miss this opportunity! (maximum of 15 people).

Sunday the 22nd of September 2019 Pedro will run the 4-hour workshop “Música do Círculo: strategies for Musical and Social Development”, based on body percussion, circle-singing, aspects of non-violent communication – specially dedicated to teachers, facilitators and educators! The workshop is open also to everyone who would like to discover the principles of the approach developed by Pedro and the other guys of Musica do Circulo.
